Indian aviation industry has flown many miles, set numerous milestones and overcome many challenges to become the third largest domestic aviation market. The recent historic orders by Indian carriers for more than 1200 planes, is an indication of further exponential growth of the Indian aviation industry in the coming years.
Aviation traffic has undoubtedly increased during the previous one year in India and has now surpassed pre pandemic numbers. It is apparent that Indiaâs domestic flight numbers have continued to remain high and indeed global investors have seen opportunities in the Indian market to take advantage of this evidently strong growth.
The Civil Aviation Industry of the Asia Pacific Region has also shown huge potential with vast growth opportunities in recent times. Major reasons are growing demand from the middle class, growth in population and tourism, higher disposable incomes, favourable demographics, and greater penetration of aviation infrastructure.
To foster this evident growth, the Government of India, jointly with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) â APAC is organizing the Asia Pacific (APAC) Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation from 11 – 12 September 2024 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, India. This Second Edition of the APAC Ministerial conference is one of the largest composite events of the aviation industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
